Terms of Service
Last updated July 23, 2026. These terms cover your use of Buildventory. We keep them short and plain because you should be able to read them.
Who we are
Buildventory is a deal- and inventory-management platform for home builders, operated from Canada. In these terms, “Buildventory,” “we,” and “us” mean the service and its operator; “you” means the organization and the people who use the account.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe, for the activity under your account, and for making sure everyone you invite is allowed to see the data in your organization. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
Your data is yours
You keep ownership of the business data you put into Buildventory — your projects, units, deals, contacts, documents, and everything else. We store and process it only to run the service for you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to advertise to you or anyone else. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Plans and billing
Buildventory currently offers a free Foundation plan and two paid, monthly-billed plans, Growth and Scale, priced and described in full on our pricing page at buildventory.com/pricing. Features may change, and we may set usage limits to keep the service healthy. We aim for high availability but do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Acceptable use
Use Buildventory lawfully. Do not attempt to break its security, access other organizations’ data, disrupt the service, or use it to send unlawful or unsolicited messages. Marketing emails you send through Buildventory must comply with anti-spam law (including Canada’s CASL) — the app enforces unsubscribe handling, but the consent to contact your recipients is yours to hold.
Exporting and closing your account
You can export your records to CSV from within the app at any time. If you want a full copy of your organization’s data, or you want your organization and its data deleted, email us at support@buildventory.com and we will take care of it.
Liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, Buildventory is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product grows. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where it matters, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Buildventory after a change means you accept the updated terms.
